mmmm. so it feels great to be back in south florida. most of you know, south florida is like a second home to all of us. we travel here a few times a year. we're extremely excited to be back at work in the studio working on MORE new songs. we've been hackin away all day everyday since early this week at new songs. we're so pleased with how everything is coming together. we will be posting a new song VERY soon!!! so please keep checkin the myspace! in the few hours away from the studio, we've been hitting town and catching up with our old pals, having wars in mlb 'the show', and eating tons of fresh florida sushi. we hope everyone comes out to the show at Rays this weekend. its going to be a blast! lets make it a memorable one!

Tallahasseeeeee

So, we've been in Tallahassee for the past two nights and it has been really great. We are staying with our Make:Collective pal Danny Echeverri of The Fifteenth and his roommates Robert and Luke. Last night we played the Beta Bar in Tally with Thank You Kindly, Continental Divide, The Ums, and Band Marino. The show went really well, all the bands were awesome, and we had a fun time hangin with all the people of FSU. Today we rehearsed a new song for recording this week with Jesse Goins and our live set with Robert, who will be our bassist for the show at Rays Dowtown on the 29th. Tomorrow is Tampa and The Orpheum, and then its off to record at our second home in Boca Raton! Hopefully we will be able to post some pictures tonight or tomorrow, we have very many to share.

KC to KY

So the show at Vaudeville Mews in Iowa was awesome We had to compete with the John Mayer/Ben Folds show at the major arena in Des Moines, but no sweat! Our good buddy Jordan Walker was able to make it to the show and take some video, which we will hopefully have our hands on soon. Last night we played in Kansas City, Missouri at the El Torreon Ballroom. That show also went well, we met a lot of nice kids and had a lot of fun. Tonight was the Bulldog Cafe in Fairdale, Kentucky. Everything went well, and it was great to be back. Tomorrow we'll be heading towards Florida to begin the final leg of the tour and do some recording. Here are a few pictures from the past few days, bye!

IOWA!

hey hey!

we're bundled up in a freeeezzing cold air-conditioned hotel room here in des moines, iowa. the show tonight totally rocked and it was definitely our favorite so far. iowa won us over easily with a bunch of crazy locals who really know how to rock out. we had a great time! we got to see our long-time friend jordan walker who drove all the way from burlington to check out the show and video tape some footage. jordan has taped us in the past and recently filmed the cru jones dvd that is available now off make music collective. we'll throw the footage on youtube as soon as we get it! we're gonna hit the hay and head to kansas city tomorrow afternoon. tomorrow we're playing at the el torreon ballroom! we're stoked!

ps. we recently lost our video camera in chicago. we think it may have been left at "JT music" in Midlothian. if you attended the show and saw where it may have gone, PLEASE contact us ASAP!!!!

So, we've been trying to get to Wrigley for the past few days, and finally made it today. We all love baseball, so it was pretty awesome just to be in such a historic place. Tomorrow we'll be playing Vaudeville Mews in Iowa, which hopefully turns out to be a good show. Here are some more adventurous pictures, bye!

chicago show / last day

heeeeey,
so last night we played a show in Chicago at a place called "JT Music". the show was a great time despite the small crowd and the amp antics. carmens amp is runnin on some blown tubes so we're hittin up the first shop we can find. we met some cool boys and girls who treated us well and spent some big bucks at our merch table. special thanks to the two fine gentlemen at Howards Chicken Shack for hookin us up with some awesome chicken dinners. after the show we spent yet another night with vegan tim and yulee. we got some much needed beauty sleep and then hit the warm streets for some good all american baseball. we went to wrigley field and saw the cubies duke it out with the padres. it was a fun last day in chicago and we're gonna miss it for sure! iowa here we come! enjoy the pics!

cause' I like to partyyyyyy

Well Well Welllllllllllllllllll...

After a long fay of frisbee throwin, thrift shoppin, baseball tossin', and mall searching we played our southgate michigan show. The people at modern exchange were awesome, and special uppssss to Edddddiiiiieeeeee the sound guy, he was super nice. After the show we hung around, finally getting back to our hotel room and enjoying the wonderful vending machines this hotel has to offer. It feels good to relax in a room instead of a cramped chevy express. We have the night off tommorow in chiiicawwwgooo, so that should be a blast and we have a place to stay which feels verrrryyy niiiceeee.

anyone?

hey.

so someone at our last show jacked my backpack full of pedals, cables, strings, and random jazz. if anyone saw it and knows who took it or just wants to buy me new pedals, cables, strings, or random jazz...get in touch with me asap. my aim screen name is hurley215 or just message the band myspace. thanks. i love you.
Aside from the disappearance of Joe's bag with all his guitar goodies, preparation for tour is going well. This tour will officially begin with tomorrow's show at Siren Records in Doylestown, which means over the next month we'll be seeing plenty of flat brimmed baseball cap wearing kids, who's myspace names all end with the state that they live in (i.e. Carmen NJ). Not that I think there is anything wrong with that, I just look funny in those hats, and am not all that crazy about NJ.

Anyway, we can't wait to play new songs for people, and go to some places we've never been. We'll also have the chance hang with our Make Collective friends down in Florida, which is always a fun time. We have a video camera, so stay on the lookout for some video updates in addition to the numerous amounts of blogs and pictures we will post while being bored waiting to play. See you all soon!

4 days..............

So, where do I begin?

We decided that because we feel like a completely new band, we would start with a fresh new blog to document our exciting experiences on tour! Actually......

Joe deleted them all by accident, but my false explanation sounded much better.

Anyway, our first tour of the year continues in 4 days, we'll be all over the US and A, so make sure you come check us out if you get a chance. We have already had two shows, our third year at GWS and a wonderful show with Down to Earth Approach and Paulson at the Trocadero Balcony in Philly. Both shows were great, with an excess of hamburgers, hospitality, and mosquitoes at Greenwoodstock, and some family and friends in Philly.

So before I get too out of control and give play by play for the past week of my life, I wanted to post the tour dates here, we are hoping to fill a few of the last dates in South Florida, so if anyone knows anything shoot us an email at: dlcbooking@gmail.com. Hopefully we'll see you soon!

P.S.- The record has hit a tiny speed bump as usual, but we're expecting to still have it finished and ready to go by the end of the summer...
